Sharon Calabro Sings Karen Carpenter is a feel-good tribute to the great songs and lush vocal tones of one of last century's most iconic voices… Karen Carpenter.
One half of the brother, sister musical sensation, The Carpenters, that swept across the charts throughout the 1970s and 80s, Karen’s voice became the unmistakable sound of adult contemporary music. Massive hits like Yesterday Once More, We’ve Only Just Begun, Top of the World, Sing and the mega-hit, Close to You, cemented The Carpenters place in music history, and made Karen one of the most recognisable voices of all-time.
Now, Sharon Calabro resurrects the unmistakable sound of Karen Carpenter in her solo tribute show. The star of the successful tribute show Yesterday Once More, Sharon has already wowed audiences with her uncanny ability to not only sound like Karen, but also to play the drums like her. She has spent years getting to know Karen and her music and is dedicated to keeping her legacy alive through her dynamic live performances.
